Don't Look

There's nothing there. Not in the shadows beyond the campfire, and not in the closet behind you, and certainly not growing on the ceiling above your head. And even if there was, you wouldn't know what it is, because you have never looked at it.

You can't know what it is. 

DON'T LOOK is a scary-storytelling game where fear keeps you alive. It's a larp for new larpers, a TTRPG off the table, and it's not real. It's just a game. You and your friends are stalked by a malicious entity, and the only way to stay safe is to be afraid—of anything but it. So you tell each other scary stories, and whatever you do, DON'T LOOK.

Gameplay

This is a GM-less game that can be played as yourself or optionally as a made-up character. The majority of gameplay is telling short horror stories as improvised adventures, much the way a GM runs a TTRPG. There are no hard mechanics provided for telling the story, but there are suggestions and random tables in case you get stuck.

As your group takes turns telling stories, you are also playing a dangerous game of survival. The rules are simple:

• Don't look at the place where it is manifesting, or it will GET YOU.
• If you accidentally look, HIDE by covering your eyes and being entirely still and quiet until it stops sniffing at your neck.
• If you can't resist looking, there is one way to look that might be safe: look through a mirror, but only for a moment.
• If you see anything in the mirror, HIDE.
• If you suspect that it has GOTTEN one of your friends, don't look too closely in their eyes, or you might see it there too.
